Capacitive Touch Panel
Material: Complete scratch-proof glass material (Mohs hardness 7H), not easy to be scratched and worn by sharp objects, not affected by common pollution sources, such as water, fire, radiation, static electricity, dust or oil stain. It also has the eye protection function of goggles.
Sensitivity: A quick response of less than 3 ms can be sensed by less than 2 ounces of force.

Capacitance touch technology is a kind of touch technology, which uses the change of capacitance when finger touches the capacitance touch panel. Capacitance touch has two important capacitance parameters, one is the inductive capacitance between finger and upper sensing material (such as ITO), the other is the parasitic capacitance between sensing material (such as ITO upper and lower) or between sensing material and optical panel (such as ITO and LCD).
The parasitic capacitance between the conductor and the conductor will change when the finger conductor approaches the sensing conductor of different voltage. Capacitance sensing effect is how to detect 0 under a larger parasitic capacitance (30 Pico Farad; pF). 1-2 pF units with slight change in inductance capacitance. Capacitance touch technology is more stable and reliable, with the human body as a body.
Characteristic of capacitor, when contacting touch panel, the change of capacitance can reach the effect of sensing touch. Atmel Marketing Director Christopher Ard points out that sensor designs can be single-sided ITO graphics for minimum functional interfaces, such as single touch points for large virtual buttons, sliders and other applications, but a more common implementation is a two-tier design (separate X and Y layers), which requires more sophisticated performance and precision.
